Sunday Worship Schedule: Worship Times
Aug. 18: Song Book Sing Along: Join us at 11:00am in Room A3 for a Song Book Sing Along, and extra opportunity during the week to get together and sing some of your favorite hymns of all-time. A group will eat together at Countryside Cafe after the Sing Along.
Adult Sunday Morning Bible Classes. Join a Bible study class on Sunday at 10:15am. All of our Bible classes focus on: Reflecting On Scripture (studying in a way that leads to application and transformation), Service (providing opportunities to serve both on Sunday morning and during the week), and Connection (fostering relationships that can be deepened through small groups).
Please invite college age and young professionals to attend a class just for them Sundays at 10:15am in Room A9.

Get Connected. Taking your next step to become more like Jesus is best done with others who are on the same journey. If you don't have a dedicated group of people to walk alongside with you, we will help you find a group.

Aug. 22, Saturday: Bridal Shower honoring Abigail & David Frye: 2:00-4:00pm at Alicia Henderson's home, 1706 Starboard Drive, Hixson, TN 37343. They are registered at Amazon.
Now-Sept. 7: Gift card shower for Ben Barton & Kira Hamilton who will be married in Oct. Gift cards to Target and Wal-Mart are appreciated and can be given to Jana Cannon or left in the church office.
Congratulations to Blake and Bailey McNair on the birth of daughter Lyndie Blake on Aug. 13. Mom and baby are doing well.
Congratulations to Rachel and Lucas Siqueira on the birth of daughter Harper Rose on Aug. 11. Mom and baby are doing well.
We express sympathy to Carol Roark and family on the passing of her husband, Tom Roark, on Aug. 9. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Obituary

Mary McGrath is at StoryPoint, and has been put under hospice care. Prayers appreciated.
Lee Barton is undergoing chemo and radiation treatment for glioblastoma . Prayers are needed.
Michael Sleeman, grandson of Leonard and Linda Frey, has a mass on his tibia and biopsy shows lymphoma, not sarcoma so the better of the options. He will have a treatment plan soon, continued prayers are appreciated.
Gary Sanders is on an oral medication and his leukemia is in remission.
Jerry (Peanut) Holloway, brother of Jana Cannon, received a promising report from his recent scan. Please pray that he can continue treatments for cancer soon and that his energy level will be consistent so that he can maintain normal activities. And pray that the treatments will be effective.
Joy Greathouse, multiple myeloma has come back and she is continuing with chemo. Prayers are needed! Cards are appreciated.

Service Opportunities for Groups: Connect with our community face to face by service to others. Many opportunities are available.

WOMEN
Monday Ladies Group: Group resumes meeting on Sept. 14 with the study Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby and Claude King.
Tuesday Ladies' Group: They will break for the summer June-August and plan to resume on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

MEN
Aug. 22: Men's Cookout & Cornhole Night: Men, there will be plenty of food for you AND whoever you bring with you! We will start at 6:00pm in the gym. After we eat, we will enjoy a time of fellowship and connection followed by a cornhole tournament for all those who are interested. Please register to let us know you're coming. See you there!
